BRIDGE DECK DAMPPROOFING AND WATERPROOFING EQUIPMENT
Various facilities are being developed and used to apply modern types of bridge deck dampproofing and waterproofing (surface waterproofer; hot and cold dampproof mastic; “liquid rubber”; blanket and mastic; emulsified bitumen and latex). The equipment design and technologies depend on the type of applied materials. A detailed study of different waterproofing was provided in “Construction Equipment and Technologies”, ¹ 7, 2008. |

Multilateral wells drilling increases the production efficiency, prolongs the deposits production period and reduces negative drilling effects on the environment. First, poor technology development prevented it from from being widely applied, but now this technique becomes more and more popular all around the world, in addition, new output improvement solution are developed and promoted constantly. The advantages of multilateral wells drilling were appreciated by many Russian and international oil and gas companies. |

Bachy Soletanche (France) and Mastenbroek Ltd (UK) companies have developed a new method of underground construction based on the ditch driving when the soil is not extracted but is mixed with a binding component.
Ditch driving is performed by a Mastenbroek ditchdigger specially modified to:
break the soil to needed depth and width without excavation;
provide a binding component supply into the soil;
effectively mix soil and binding component in situ.
A binding component can be supplied as a powder (dry method) or as a pre-mixed mortar (wet method).
Apart from a specialized Mastenbroek ditchdigger, the Trenchmix® method is based on meticulous specifications and detailed procedures elaborated by Bachy Soletanche company:
special technique of wall dimensioning in the soil based on the finite element method;
defining the binding component composition and dosage depending on the soil and other project’s conditions;
managing construction process;
monitoring on the operating platform and in the laboratory to confirm the quality of works performed. |

The transport tunnel construction boom observed in various countries since the fifties owes its emergence to extreme necessity of the streets unclogging from vehicles, hastening of the cargo transfer and passenger transportation, raising of comfort level and providing for urban and natural environment protection. In turn, the larger scale of underground construction and its high cost considering the evident shortage of qualified personnel has been creating the natural incentives for development of the industrial construction methods by using the partly or fully automatic tunnel-boring equipment aimed at functioning under the wide range of geotechnical condition as well as the factory built constructions. |

Now raise the requirements to fuel systems of the modern siccative agreggates of asphalt-mixing installations. Completeness of combustion and decrease in the expense of fuel, high thermal firmness, the big service life and high reliability, explosion safety and profitability, possibility of the automatic control of work and remote control – the basic qualities which fuel systems should possess. |

Italian Railways Public Company initiated the projected works for large-scale reconstruction of railroad infrastructure of Palermo. In terms of the project it is stipulated laying the second railway track of 30 km length, 20 km of which will cross urban areas. Besides, specific facilities, particularly, 17 railway stations and 22 platforms will be constructed. For the purpose of reduction of any events of traffic jamming and provision of unobstructed traffic communication with the airport, 7 km of surface railway tracks are projected for dismantling to be reconstructed to run via underground tunnels. |

As a matter of fact, with the goals accounted for beneficial development of a road-building and automotive machinery construction sector it is necessary to constantly improve the current methods of diagnostics and implement specific state-of-the-art techniques that would meet such conflicting requirements as authenticity, reliability, usability and process automation capability. Today, the application potential of the aforesaid methods is chiefly based on use of nanomaterials and nanotechnologies. |
