Fire rescue
The first of the novelties that received the name PSA-S has been created on the three-axle all-wheel drive chassis and is to be applied in the conditions of the Far North. Its cabin, the four-seater passenger module established behind it, as well as all fire-prevention and rescue equipment can be used in the conditions of frosts of up to –60 îÑ! The vehicle's rear compartment features a unit warming up water in the tank (capacity – 6000 l), whereas pressure hoses receive heat from a standalone heater.
Another fire engine that received the official name of the PSA-T and an informal nickname of "Pushmi-Pullyu" has been created specially to prevent fire in tunnels or other constructions where the manoeuvrability of motor-vehicles is sharply complicated. The front and rear parts of its frame feature two absolutely identical, but inverted cabs that provide the possibility of reversive movement with the same maximum speed of 85 km/h. In the space between them the fire-prevention equipment is located, including the tank for water with the capacity of 4000 l, 250-liter foam tank and a combined high pressure pump. The chassis is biaxial, with all steering wheels and a connectable drive of one of the bridges.
Both fire engines are equipped with a 420-hp IVECO Cursor 13 diesel engine together with a 16-step gear box ZF, wheels are of a single type.
