FORD TRANSIT NEW MODIFICATIONS

Ford Company offered new modifications on the basis of the popular Ford Transit low-tonnage car – a breakdown truck, a car lift and a fixed-run taxi.As for the last one, it can be hardly called new – our engineers working with bodies have been reworking vans into fixed-run taxis for a long time. A breakdown truck on the Ford Transit 460EF chassis can be equipped with a 140 hp Duratorq TDCi engine with volume of 2.4 l or with a new 200 hp pentacylinder turbo diesel engine with volume of 3.2 l. The automobile total weight is 4600 kg, hoisting capacity is 1800 kg.Evacuation equipment includes a platform with two sliding ladders and an electric winch with towing capacity of 4.1 tons. Car lift with an operating boom platform is built on the basis of Ford Transit Van 350 MWB.Total weight of automobile is 3500 kg, hoisting capacity is 750 kg.Car lift in front-wheel drive performance is equipped with 2.2-litre 115 hp Duratorq TDCi, rear-wheel drive one is equipped with the 2.4-litre 140 hp turbo diesel engine. Fixed-run taxi on the basis of Ford Transit Jumbo Van 460EF is equipped with 2.4-litre Duratorq TDCi (140 hp) and can carry 18 passengers.  Standard package packaging arrangement includes an automatic sliding door, a self-contained heater for the Eberspaecher passenger saloon, a driver seat with regulation in 6 directions, an electric window lift, windshield heating, side-view mirrors with electric regulation and heating, adaptation to cold climate, headlamps adjustment.The automobile is equipped with roadholding system, including hybrid launch assist system (HLA), ABS and Electronic brake assist sistem (EBA).

Or Sweden seems to get ready for retiring from among the world’s biggest automobile makers as a manufacturer of safe, ecological and economical vehicles. These are the only thoughts that can be suggested by information from the Internet about long-term plans of the local legislaturers. The first item is logical and doesn’t amaze.  Since 2011 raised tax will be charged on the the owners of out-of-date cars. But the second item obviously requires authors to get special independent psychiater consultation.  The speech is about the absolute prohibition of the petrol and diesel fuel sale (it means use of all vehicles produced earlier) planned since 2030.
