Locatelli has produced an off-road crane with carrying capacity of 30 t equipped with the most advanced security system, including connection between jacking pads and a load moment indicator (the indicator corersponds to EN 13000 standard). Four-section arm GRIL 8300T stretches up to 25.5 m, and maximum height of the arm head is 27.5 m.

The new integrated system includes jacking pads management which provides stretching of jacking pads according to the carrying capacity diagram. The system consists of a receiver and three transmitters on each jacking pad. Transmitters are located in the following girder positions: “completely forwarded”, “half-forwarded” and “removed”. Connection between receivers and transmitters is carried out by the wireless channel, excluding wear which would definitely lead to physical contact between details. Every jacking pad receiver sends a configuration signal to the central block which predetermines maximum safe mass of elevated weight.  
This mass is shown on the display in the operator’s cab. Besides, the load moment indicator also processes information sent by transmitters on the arm, on the hoisting unit and slewing ring.   The computer informs an operator of the safe working zone limits which can also be predetermined according to specialties of works being executed. On falling outside the limits the operator receives audio and visual signals. Besides, the system informs of the machine and sensors conditions and servicing requirements.
