As India shows tremendous economic progress, its road network must be improved as quick as possible. According to the world’s largest public private partnership program, approx. 7000 km of new highways must be constructed per year, that is approx. 20 km per day. Within the following three years, 55 bln. of Euro are to be received from the whole world as investments into highways construction.
Thus, the Indian office of Wirtgen Group chose a right moment for licensed production of Hamm soil compactors here. A new sales and service center was built on a 100 ths. m2 land plot to perform final assembly of these highly demanded compactors. The new head office is located near Pune industrial center in the north-western part of India. Administration and training center buildings have been constructed in modern style and occupy 2700 m2.
