The second by size bus manufacturer in Europe Irisbus IVECO sold 9475 buses and bus chassis to the sum of 1,192 billion euro in 2008, which was less than the result got in 2007. Among the sold products were 3353 tuarist buses, 2053 city ones, 891 chassis è 3178 mini buses. The statistics was spoilt by the fourth quarter of 2008 when a dramatic reduction of demand occurred especially on the key source markets for Irisbus in Italy and Spain. Great part of deliveries (8585 units) was focused on the countries of European Unit. Here Irisbus accounts 18.9%, which puts Irisbus on the second place after Daimler Buses, besides, the company is in the leading position according to the sales volume in France, Italy and Slovakia.
