Chinese authorities authorized transaction opening the way for strategic partnership. MAN entered one of the largest and dynamic truck markets in the world and strengthens its positions in the country. After purchasing voting shares in Sinotruk and increase of increasing its stake to 25% plus one share MAN SE will have direct participation in that company. MAN will have to invest 560 mln. euros. Transfer of MAN TGA production technology to Sinotruk, including engines, chassis and axles technology, is part of the deal. The main objective is development of new heavy line-up that will be manufactured at Sinotruk facilities setting new standards both in China and in other export markets.

Both companies are bound by long-term cooperation. License transaction agreement was concluded between Sinotruk and parent company 25 years ago. During this time MAN trucks and components are manufactured in China under license.
