MAN GAVE PILSTING TO VISEON
In the network of the German plants restructing program fulfilled by MAN Nutzfahrzeuge, bus plant in Pilsting moved to the «Viseon Bus GmbH» new established company. Another Neoplan plant in Plauen was widened, and now it produces buses ofNeoplan mark. As a result of the MAN Nutzfa hrzeuge bus subdivision restructing, its sale has increased by 10% in 2008 and totals 1522 million euro (in 2007 – 1387 million euro), operating profit after the negative indexes of 13 million euro in 2007 has increased by 32 million euro and reached 19 million euro. Nevertheless, according to results of 2008 MAN’s Europe bus market share has decreased from 14.9% (in 2007) up to 12.8%. 7227 complete buses and bus chassis were sold in all (7349 units – in 2007). 10% of the established again «Viseon Bus GmbH» company’s shares belongs to MAN Nutzfahrzeuge It was Joachim Reinmuth who founded this company in July 2008. According to the agreement with MAN, development, production and sale of trolleybuses under the Neoplan brand name (till the end of 2010), sales of airport buses of the N91 series that is manufactured by the Slovenian company «TVM» on the rights of outsourcing under the Neoplan brand name, finishing the interior of double-decker city and tourist buses of the Neoplan brand and creation of the new generation of the double-decker Neoplan Skyliner are going to be within the scope of Viseon Bus activity Hereafter development and production of coaches of the luxe class under Viseon's own name will be possible. Total area of the plant in Pilsting is 35000 m (20000 m from them are under the roof), and full capacity is 450 buses per year.
