In Moscow in the Educational center of Open Company « VOLKSWAGEN GROUP RUS» a special training for mass-media « Secrets new Ò5 »was taken place , devoted to an output to the market of the small-tonnage family VW Ò5 GP (details in «KT» 7/2009). The Prefix GP, by the way, is called to emphasize differences of the seriously modernized family from the previous one with the same index and is rendered as Grosse Produktaufwertung. When you will hold this number of the magazine in hands, the first Transporters and Caravellees of the new family will already find the owners, and dealers of the mark VW Commercial cars will adjust with might all the main orders forMultivan. The full-drive T5 GP 4Motion will appear in interiors in April-May, no less than the camper California, and exotic Multivan PanAmericana and Multivan Business should be all expected more close to the autumn. Personally to get acquainted with the full modelling number of Ò5 GP will be possible at theexhibition « COMTRANS ’ 2010 » in the end of April this year.

Now about the prices. According to the official information, price parity T5 and Ò5 GP has changed slightly – it has grown from one up to five percent, and the number of complete sets remains constant. So, for example, cost of the new Transporter Kasten makes from 1080000 rbl., Transporter Kombi – from 1189900 rbl., Caravelle Trendline – from 1361100 rbl., Multivan Comfortline – from 1649500 rbl., Multivan Highline – from 2096000 rbl. By the way, share VW in the Russian market of new import small-tonnages in the segment of Ò5 (full weight 3-3,2) made in 2009 34 %, and with an output to the market of cars of new generation it is expected not to lose it at least.

Besides, the part of the modelling chain Ò5 GP is supposed to be adjusted at Russian factory VW in Kaluga. We speak, in particular, about Transporter Kombi (up to 9 places), Caravelle (up to 9 places), Multivan Comfortline and Multivan Highline – all in execution only with a "low" roof. Questions why there will not be set up the "exotic" of type Multivan PanAmericana, does not arise, but here the absence in the Kaluga liner of cargo van Transporter Kasten the Volkswagen representatives explained by the economic inexpediency, that is too high customs duties on the assembly complete sets of this model. For information: in 2009 in Kaluga it was assembled about 680 commercial cars VW.

However, in the present year VW is not going to be limited by only one ïðåìüåðîé T5 GP. In June will start the beginning of deliveries to Russian Federation of the newest middle-size frame pickup with a spring back suspension bracket Amarok which means a "wolf" in language of Inuits (for the first time the car was presented to general public on IAA ’ 2008 in Hanover, and Russian debute is expected on MIMS ’ 2010). This device with carrying capacity of one ton is assembled at factory Pacheco in Buenos Aires (Argentina). At the beginning Amarok will be delivered in a full-drive execution with a two-row cabin and a two-liter engine biTDI (163 h.p., 400 Nanometers) which is aggregated with a six-step mechanical KP. In 2011 there will added a one more «two-liter» – 122-strong TDI (340 Nanometers), equipped with a turbine-pumper with changeable geometry of the turbine. At cost the Wolf should put in a price niche between Mitsubishi L200 and Nissan Navara.

  

By the way, Amarok, on the plan of VW Commercial cars, is called to press seriously the competitors and by 2012 to take 12-13 % of the Russian market of pickups.

In passing at the seminar all the figures of sales in the market of Russian Federation in 2009 were sounded also. All in all, 5650 commercial cars were realized, and the share of VW in Russian market LCV made 5,2 % (see the table and the schedule).
