Michelin Company has developed a new universal tire for driving truck axles named Michelin X MultiWay. The advantages of this tire are long service life, reliability and, according to the manufacturer, perfect road adherence, even with tread wear up to two thirds, due self-recoverable tread pattern. The patented technology implies the presence of hidden grooves having the drop shape in the centre of each section. When the tread is worn out, the groves gradually appear creating new bars in the central part of the block. In future the tread may be restored by way of threading or using Michelin Remix patented technology.
