The company «Schmitz Cargobull AG» has presented the first S.CS UNIVERSAL semi-trailer with a sliding side awning that has got the certificate for freight in the customs regime. Now thus carriers can use one semi-trailer type for international traffic under the custom stamp as well as for inland traffic. Inner width of the semi-trailer is 2480 mm that allows place three pallets in each row up to the roof.  Installation of double-level loading system is offered as an option for nearly double increase of the carrying cargo volume. TIR performance is provided by specially developed roof awning fastening, installed armour plates on the rods for awning tention and ears and clevises for threading a custom cord. Instead of old awning from PVC, that lost its flexibility especially in cold weather, the new more flexible three-layered awning that has heightened wear resistance and rupture strength due to the special interweaving fibers technology.
