Shears Redesigned Shape
Caterpillar Work Tools B.V., Caterpillar division producing tools, presents new S320B, S325B and S340B mounted hydraulic shears designed to cut metal items commonly found in scrap yards and demolition sites. They are meant for hydraulic excavators that will enlarge the product line of the B series. The durable construction of the shears and cutting parts increases optimal precision and speed. The hardened welded-on cutting edge tip of the upper jaws penetrates material and maximizes productivity when piercing is required.All S300 shears can turn by 360° in any direction. It enhances the jaws cutting force. The S300 shears are convenient to cut in any position without moving the machine. The working cycle is reduced due to a high ratio of force to weight allowing more cuts per hour. The straight lower jaw works with the apex of the upper jaw additional upper ones which first flatten and straighten steel elements before the cut. It boosts the lower pair shear force. A redesigned shape of shears allows better protection of inner components more precise arrangement of the jaws with regard to a dipper handle. The cutting edge tip construction is modified as well. The cutting edge design greatly improves the protection of the cylinder, which eliminates the use of a cylinder guard by extending the housing to cover the cylinder rod. A newly designed hub is better protected against damage.
