Significant innovative changes
New environmental requirements for internal combustion engines, which entered into force on the territory of Europe and the United States of America in January 2011. These requirements led to the spreading of engines of IIIB/4i generations. The dimensions of these engines and related systems of treatment of exhaust gases require introduction of changes in the design of produced equipment Sandvik. In order to provide customers with world-class facilities, the Sandvik Company upgraded the line of mobile crushing plants, which are now equipped with new engines Caterpillar.
Crushers QJ340, QJ240, QJ330 and QH330 will now have the names QJ341, QJ241, QJ331 and QH331 respectively, and their motor compartments will have the changed composition allowing to place engines of 3A/Tier 3 or 3B/Tier 4i generations according to environmental requirements acting in the destination country. Design changes also include the introduction of a number of other improvements to increase ease of maintenance and overall reliability.
The list of improvements applied in the new models include:
• new hydraulic and electric control systems Danfoss, providing more efficient operation of installations;
• control system with programmable logic controller and color screen to visualize the current parameters and management;
• fan of radiator cooling with hydraulic drive and automatic reverse, which allows providing of the radiator backflush from dust;
• the system of proportional stress distribution on tracks;
• the hydraulic system of raising and lowering of the main conveyor of jaw crushers for removing of the fittings during the processing of building materials;
• The new direct drive of QH331 crusher providing the improved work efficiency.
The Sandvik Company has also introduced the number of additional improvements facilitating the relief of installation maintenance:
• use of steel pipes, which draw off heat better and do not require the use of seals during maintenance;
• facilitated access to the engine: now with both sides of the compartment;
• all points from which access to units is implemented; these points are easily accessible, there are comfortable placement of draining areas of technical fluids;
• now access to all the hydraulic valves are made from earth;
• tanks for diesel fuel and small tanks for hydraulic fluids are now available from the front platform of the installation and equipped with access hatches.
