THE CRISIS HAS PASSED BY
The company is a developer/manufacturer of AutoTracker intellectual monitoring system. Last year takings of RNT increased by 169.3% in comparison with that in 2008 (112.7% - 2008/2007) and rose up to 209.5 million RUR, while volume of the market doubled in piece counting. Taking into account that only 5-6% of the vehicle park is equipped with monitoring systems it is predicted that in perspective it would grow twice or thrice annually.
It is clear that incentives thereof will be significant federal support concerning the requirements of mandatory equipping vehicles with GLONASS-receivers, and, strange as it may seem, the financial crisis. The latter forced owners of the rolling-stock to seriously think about enhancement of manageability and efficiency of operation of the vehicle park and about reduction of operation costs. For instance, it is just use of global positioning sensors for satellite control of traffic flows and fuel consumption control that will afford to decrease expenses by 30%. Accessory equipment which is optionally offered for supplementing the AutoTracker basic system will afford to gain extra profit in amount at least 20%.
In perspective, apart from further development of service and lines of manufactured products, RNT is planning to keep working on enhancement of satellite monitoring systems for achieving their compatibility with any, including low-level, instrumentation units of any vehicles and their accessory equipment. We may speak here about creation of the on-board intellectual network wherein all devices will have digital interfaces and the unified digital route will be engaged for interaction whereof. Beside a newer level of enhancing efficiency of transportation it will allow to raise quality of rolling stock service up to unprecedented heights. Let’s say, a car manufacturer in Germany or their dealer, in perspective, will be able to receive, at any moment of time, the data of cooling liquid temperature, level and supposed date of replacement of oil, and any possible errors in a truck operating, say, in a far-away open mine in Yakutia, as detected by the on-board diagnostics. Again, here we may speak both about real-time parameters and those for a certain period of time.
