The First Show Fountain Opened In Turkmenistan
Late in 2010 in Avaz, an international resort in Turkmenistan (coast of the Caspian Sea), an offshore fountain turning at night into a display for 3D laser shows was put into operation. The facility is equipped with GRUNDFOS SP pumps.
The fountain is located in the sea 185 m away from the shore. Fourty two 100 m high streams in conjunction with a single most powerful stream create some kind of a water display with the diameter of 26 m. At night it can be used to project images, video, laser shows. The fountain is illuminated by floodlights and lamps of various colours.
The water is flushed by 48 stainless steel immersed GRUNDFOS SP pumps with a variable speed drive. The units supply more than 600 m3 of water per hour. All pumps are equipped with special filters protecting then from seaweeds, fish and debris.
As part of his visit to Turkmenistan, President Dmitry Medvedev took a look at the fountain together with his Turkmen colleague Gurbangula Berdymukhamedov. Symbols of Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation, portraits of the two Presidents, images of the great people in the history of both the nations and sights of the two countries were successively projected at the water display above the sea
