The Most Modern Production Facilities
100 million Euros was invested to build the new plant. The total area of the new production is 370 thousand m2. 60 thousand m2 of them are occupied with covered shops for constructing and assembling asphalt pavers and end points for them by orders of customers from around the world. This plant where an experienced staff will be employed will become a new parent enterprise. This illustrates the desire of Wirtgen Group to keeping production facilities in Germany, to strengthening the region and supporting the manpower from the company staff.
The new plant is the object of one of the largest capital investment in the European engineering industry. The production of all the models of asphalt pavers has become straight-line. Cycles of lines for assembling separate models were optimized to improve synchronization with the cycle of assembling different models on the common line.
Besides production facilities, another important object - the Center for Training and Technology (CTT) – is situated on the territory of the new plant.
