Tractors of Better Effectiveness
After the first presentation of the K series track-laying tractor D6K, Caterpillar® introduces less powerful models of this series at the market: track-laying tractors D3K, D4K è D5K. Tractors D4K and D5K will be sold in Europe, Africa and Middle East. New models have been significantly upgraded; in particular, operator’s convenience has been improved, AccuGrade™ system has been implemented and a new running gear has been developed, all of which shall provide excellent effectiveness and low expenses for maintenance and operation.
Cab upgrades make work easier. For example, operating controls in chair elbow-boards do not transmit machine vibration to the operator's body while new ergonomic handles decrease tiredness and provide intuitive control.
AccuGrade system for machine control has been integrated into the automated blade management system which allows cutting soil with increased precision. The AccuGrade system display is located in the lower part of the control panel, which provides an optimum view over the blade and display. Also, cab observability has been improved, and space for legs has been increased by 8%.
An upgraded hydrostatic system improves reaction and maneuverability of K series tractors. A hydrostatic winch handles weights due to alternating modulating of rotation frequency and drag force.
New revolutional running gear SystemOne (included in the standard configuration for European countries and optional for Africa and Middle East) decreases time and expenses for technical maintenance significantly.
