To achieve this, the major attention in R&D works will be paid to rising efficiency and cost-efficiency of the rolling stock, implementation of the most perfect ecology standards (up to Euro-6 incl.), and to participation in realization of the most modern transportation solutions of BRT type. Whereas investments in scientific researches for the last year exceeded those for year 2008 by more than 30 million euros and approached the figure of 180 million euros.

In Russia, after organizing Mercedes-Benz Trucks Vostok Joint Venture, the major stake in promotion of MB and Setra makes is made on the dealer network of Kamsky Motor Works (KamAZ). It once again confirms the real idea of DAG’s interest in purchasing shares of the motor plant from Naberezhnye Chelny.
